DECATUR, IL- Decatur Police are continuing to search for a man accused of shooting another man Thursday afternoon. Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for WS Ford, 29. He is facing charges of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and attempted murder.
Officers responded to a shots fired call about 2 p.m. Thursday. When they arrived, police found 29 year-old Jerry Harris been shot near the area of Church and Peoria streets.
Harris is expected to recover.
Police are now looking for 29 year-old W.S. Ford. Ford is also known as "Big S."
Police say Ford should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information concerning Ford's whereabouts should contact the police department at 424-2711, or Crime Stoppers at 423-TIPS.
