Principal accused of getting girls drunk so they would vandalize home of enemy

Australia – A deputy principal of a Coffs Harbour high school has been charged with getting three students drunk so they would vandalize the home of an enemy with him.

Andrew  Minisini, who has taught at several high schools along the east coast of NSW, has been charged with buying alcohol for the girls, aged 16 and  17, taking them to a motel room to drink it and then going to a home in Urunga where they allegedly spray-painted obscenities on the outside  walls.

Police would not reveal the intended target of the vandalism except to say the home belonged to a man who was known to the  teacher.  More

Couple mistakenly served bag of cash at McDonald’s drive-thru

A Tennessee couple got something worth a little bit more than an Extra Value  Meal from the drive-thru employee at a McDonald’s in Hermitage.

Greg and Stacye Terry placed their regular breakfast orders and were served up a bag stuffed with thousands of dollars  in cash. An employee apparently mixed-up the restaurant’s bank deposit with the Terry’s drive thru order.

“My husband opened the bag and discovered the money inside,” said Stacye  said. “He said, ‘You are not going to believe this.’ Sure enough, it was their  bank deposit money.”
The employee quickly discovered the mistake and caught up with the Terrys.  They returned the cash, no questions asked.  More

High School Digs Up Graveyard For Football Field

MANASSAS, Virginia – When a Prince William County high school district announced plans to build a sports complex for students, no one complained.

But when it was announced they would be displacing a century old cemetery to do so, more than a few heads turned.

Then the district said the construction firm knew about the graveyard since 2008, but hadn’t told school officials until this past summer.

Now there is outrage and a flurry of activity as archaeologists hurry to excavate the grave site before it is demolished, reports the Washington Post.

The site is in a remote area south of Manassas. It was overgrown with trees and other plants. The rough fieldstones are dated from 1860 through 1890.  More

Amish buggy horse killed in drive-by shooting in Pennsylvania

PHILADELPHIA – A horse pulling a buggy with an Amish family aboard in rural Pennsylvania was struck by a bullet fired from a moving car and later died, police said on Tuesday.

No people were injured in the drive-by shooting, which occurred on Sunday in the village of Ronks in the heart of Lancaster County’s Amish country, said Lieutenant Robin Weaver of the East Lampeter Township Police Department.

The buggy was about a mile from home when the two adults and three children aboard heard a loud crack, police said.

“At the time, they believed it was a firecracker,” Weaver said. “They didn’t realize it was a gunshot.”

The horse died before a veterinarian arrived. More
