PARKSIDE, Pennsylvania – A borough woman was charged in the fatal
shooting of her husband in their West Roland Road home during what
police said was her first gun lesson in the wee hours Saturday.
Michele, 42, and William Wanko, 43, had been drinking vodka and
lemonade for about six hours when she asked him to show her how to shoot
a handgun in case someone attempted to break into the house.
He had owned guns for years and it couldn’t have been a worse time. It was a recipe for disaster, mixing guns and alcohol.
William C. Wanko died of a gunshot wound to the chest and the manner of death was ruled homicide. Full Article
